Basemark Oy is delighted to welcome Christian Klass as the latest addition to our growing team, to fill the role of head of the Benchmarks Business unit from 15th of January 2019

Mr Klass is known in technology circles as a prolific journalist and founder of Golem.de, one of the country’s leading tech publications. With years of experience of testing and analyzing new hardware, Christian is a natural fit for Basemark’s growing business in advanced graphics rendering. Basemark’s product and services portfolio spans both demanding integrated solutions and measuring state of the art with Basemark GPU, a newly released benchmarking product.

“I was always excited about the kind of graphics quality programmers can squeeze even out of seemingly outdated systems. I am even more interested in what can be done on new GPUs. Basemark does both, so I am really happy to join the team!“ comments Mr Klass, who is looking forward to initially sharing time between Berlin and Helsinki.

Basemark GPU 1.1 was launched November 2018 with added DirectX 12 support. The initial 1.0 release pioneered with cross-platform evaluation of Open GL 4.5, OpenGL ES 3.1, and Vulkan graphics API performance across devices of all sizes. Performance is measured by utilizing an advanced game-like workload, built on Basemarks adaptive in-house Rocksolid engine.
